Any player can be recalled from loan by the club that owns him. Most of the time with a loan the money side is just that the club the player is going out on loan to pays the players wages. But he can be recalled at any time incase the squad suffers injuries.

Nope a club can pay a fee to keep the player for a season like Villa done for Carson, we would not have been allowed to recall him even if all out keepers were out.

I actually thought Voronin had started the half reasonably well, but then he gave the ball away a few times which seemed to dent his confidence, and then after his miss it all went utterly wrong for him.

I don't know how fit Aquilani is but I'd be tempted to replace Voronin with him for the second half.

I'd say Voronin was initially mediocre except for the odd set piece he delivered quite well. After that horrific shot on goal he has realised he was **** and declined rapidly.

We've been playing as good a half as we've played all season. Controlled the midfield and the game, our passing has been very good, we do lack that little bit of quality for that final pass though, which Aquilani has been bought for it seems.
