Who else is hoping Gerrard & Torres ain't fit for Birmingham

I have been wondering today about the fitness of our best players and the up coming Internationals next week , If you had a choice would you want Gerrard and Torres to be declared unfit for Birmingham hence being unfit for international call up and have Voronin and Co stepping in for Monday's game, Or would you want both/either fit for Birmingham and obviously declaring themselves fit for their respective countries

I'm not sure the rule for freindlies at International level but I hear that Torres is desperate to make the Spain game next week at his old ground in Madrid , Should Rafa take a hard stand and stick 2 fingers up to both countries.........esp Spain ?.:bird:

I would like to think that we have enough to beat Birmingham without them ,but on recent form/luck

I'll play up front if they'll let me. I've got the workrate of Voronin and the game intelligence of Babel.

Babel should play instead of Voronin.

I was thinking putting Babel ang Ngog up front could be good for a change, the main downside would be no decent cover on the bench. Although we could have Eccleston and Pacheco who have shown quality but don't have experience, now could be an opportunity for them.

Saying that I would prefer to have Torres available if possible
