All time best team in Rafa's reign

Just wondering what everyone's favoured team would be from Rafa's tenure to date - obviously you can pick players he inherited. If you like, you can place a B team underneath using different players.

It would be interesting to see how many players from the current squad make it into the first XI, and whether this correlates to the fans saying we've regressed as a club.

To be honest there's not really that much I'd change from our current line up for the first team.

If we could have a fully fit Kewell back at his peak I'd have him back for Riera. It was a damn shame we didn;t see the best of him, he'd have been a true legend.

I'd take Alonso back, goes without saying, easy swap for Lucas.

Hyypia back at his peak would be a quality addition.

Other than that the only thing I'd really change is bench players.

Garcia, Crouch, Arbeloa, and possibly (city striker, psycho, mental blank on the name) as impact subs.

Sissoko as back-up for Mascher.

If I was being honest I'd maybe add Owen, but that judas little cunt can **** off even if he timewarps to when he was prolific and fit. ****.

can't fault that apart from maybe Hamann instead of Mascher

what is of interest is the best team is very similar to the current team when all players are fit.

Ergo that is our problem - with Agger we could of had the best defender int he country. Likewise Aurelio. The loss of Alonso is huge one but a fit Agger would of helped the midfield.

I always thought we never replaced Garcia, but with Yossi we have his replacement and in a way a more consitant one.

Imagine a season where Stevie, Agger, Aurelio, Johnson, Torres were fit for 90% of the games.



What we have failed to do is have a good enough set of strikers.

Garcia at his best was different class. Scored some vital goals in the CL 2005 so for me that is why he jsut sneaks ahead of Yossi.
