So far based on the answers of those who've typed out a team (and disregarding the weathermans initial post), the average count of players in the XI's who are currently with us works out at 7.8....

It's really interesting looking at those teams, on paper each one looks formidable, but like someone mentioned that's providing everyone's on top form and injury free.

Too many teams above are hoofball specialists (Hyppia, Carra, Riise). Opposing teams know they could pack the midfield so our defenders saw more of the ball, which invariably went straight up. Need Agger and Aurelio to get any resemblence of Rafa's Valencia's pass and move football.

We almost have this team now but for injuries. Maybe bad luck does have a part in Rafa's current plight, but the rest of the squad is his choosing as well (he needs/needed better scouts to pick up outstanding bargains like Steve Bruce seems to pull from his sleeves every two minutes).

I was toying with the idea, can't remember if he was as poor when Rafa joined to when we sold him.

We was incredibly effective early in his LFC career and we've not been blessed with great LBs for quite some time.

Concern is the lack of height hence my opt for Hyypia over Agger. Full backs wouldn't push up as much as we're doing this season, so should offer protection against pace for CBs. Alonso and Mascherano speaks for itself, then further forward I've gone with a bit of pace and attitude with Bellamy, the trickery of Garcia, along with the obvious.

What are the alternatives really? Fabio-10 games a season- aurelio, andrea - I scored a goal against the scum- dossena or Inusa that have only just established himself.

Besides the last season under Rafa, Riise did a very good job on the LB. He basically lost his reputation because of one very poor own goal...
