    Luck is half the issue!

Many of us are thinking right now that we are not lucky with injuries... and rightly so we have Aquiliani, Johnson, Aurelio and Riera injured among the first eleven but many of us in summer still argued - what if Torres is injured??? Are we playing Voronin? And so the premier lg. began with everyone hoping that Torres will never get injured.

The worst scenario happened! But whose fault is it that we don't have a decent replacement for Torres??? is it Rafa's Or the Americans???

Chelsea have Drogba, Anelka and Kalou all excellent players. Utd have Roon, Berb and Owen (who still have the experience though injury prone), City have Adeb, Santa Cruz, Tevez, (Rob. will be sold according to media rep.), and we have Torres Torres Torres! We can't seriously challenge! Rafa should have wrapped a decent striker last year!

Thread titles like "Should We Give Up" aren't exactly brimming with confidence.

Regarding that thread,i think it's best if we let gerrard and torres fully recover from their injuries, rather than risk them.I would like to see babel played upfront with ngog.i believe the two of them would tear defences apart.

                      I'll start.

Mancs will get a point of Chavs and we will beat Birmingham meaning we are 7 points of the top. Stevie and Fernando rest over the international break and come in to the City game fully fit. We smash City for 4 and everyone is happy we'll finish top 4 again. Lyon get a point in Florence and progression in the cL is back in our hands.

Now with our key players back fit and a couple of important wins confidence is creeping back into the squad. We then further improve confidence with wins over Everton and Arsenal in the league, and also a vital 3-0 win over Fiorintina with Gerrard scoring a late penalty to send us through.

It's now January 1st and LFC are within 4 points of pace setters Chelsea and Man Utd. Aquilani has been an absoloute inspiration and Est1892 regulars are changing their teams in Rafas best ever team thread to include the Italian famous for a thirty yarder agaisnt Everton away.

G+H announce a press conference and report that new investment has been found and Rafa now has £50m to spend in the January transfer market. He duly rings up Valencia and by the second week of January David Villa and David Silva have signed on the dotted line.

Liverpool then go on to win the League and Champions League and reds fans world over once again praise Rafa and his miracles.

                      Hows about that?

And old fergie retiring due to admitting defeat that he could never match our records/overtake them.

Kalou scored just 6 league goals last season. Rooney only managed as many as Kuyt - 12 - while Berbatov got just 9 and Owen a handful. Adebayor apart, Santa Cruz is injury-prone and not prolific, Tevez only got something like 5 goals last year.

Only Drogba, Anelka and Adebayor of your list are consistent goal scorers.

Despite all that you say, we easily outscored all those teams last season when Torres missed nearly half a season and, in what has been a disappointing season so far, we've still managed to score more goals than Man U and Man City already and I wouldn't bet against us being overall top scorers yet again come the end of the season
