If we still had Crouch and Cisse at the club they would both be starting every week and scoring a fair chunk of goals too.

According to Wiki he has scored 222 goals in 402 career games.

          Pretty amazing to be honest.

That's a good shout, there is a touch of the young Trezeguet about him.

If he can be half as successful as us as Trezeguet was for Juve we're onto a winner.

No he can't. Not unless he suddenly changes as a player. I think N'Gog lacks a killer instinct in front of goal, an attibute that Trezeguet had in abundance.

N'Gog looks like a player who will look to create as much as score and one who will work very hard for the team. Trezeguet did **** all except score.

To be fair to him his goal to minutes played record is pretty good. I agree he is not really the same type of player as Trezeguet though. He does look a great prospect at the minute though. In fact I can't think of a young striker in the country who looks better.

I think N'Gog is lucky in that he is getting chances to play which he should not really be having. And the more a young lad plays the better he tends to get, this would always make him stand out as one to watch. And when a player is starting games they tend to relax more and not over try.

I watched Danny Welbeck play for the Mancs against Barnsley and he looked the best player on the pitch, but there were plenty of times he could have played Owen in but instead went it alone, obviously trying to stand out. Then when Owen rollocked him he tried to play Owen in when it was better to go it alone!

I think N'Gog at the moment is a very relaxed player, especially after the goal against the Mancs as that goal won a lot of people over. It would be interesting to see if he continues his development, especially if we buy another striker in January as he'd get a lot less game time.

Hasn't had the chances to show he can cut it in the top flight. I can think of loads of top reserve/youth strikers who scored by the bucket load but did next to nothing in the prem.

I saw a part of a Chelsea reserve match (think it was while waiting to play 5 a side) and he looked bloody awful in front of goal. Obviously that's a bit harsh to judge him on but he isn't getting chances in the first team so I'm not sure he can be said to be doing better than Ngog.

To some extent I agree but at the same time I think that is how many young players get their break and the test is how they take it. Ngog seems to have grabbed it and unlike many players early in their career has looked good starting and as a sub.

Welbeck is a good call talent wise. It will be interesting to see how many games he gets.
