Even when we have had players fit, they've not been able to play 2 games together in a row. Especially in defence that is always going to create problems and even up front it makes getting into any rhythm or building understanding very difficult.

We basically have the same squad as last year with Arbeloa replaced by Johnson and Aquilani for Alonso, all this talk of big clear outs and us not having a squad is a bit knee-jerk and not thought through IMO. We didn't have a good preaseason and choked from day 1 as we thought we had a chance at the title, from the moment Jamie jumped into Skrtel we've looked nervous and just not...instinctive.

Now we're out of the title race we'll settle down. The funny thing is I've had spurs fans giving me ****, despite not winning in 9 Games (9 GAMES !) they're still only 3 points ahead of us, we'll walk into the top 4 at the end of the season. Already the hype around City, Spurs and Villa being revealed for the ill conceived ****e it always was?

How **** were man u without ronaldo at the start of last year? And how far behind 4th did Arsenal fall before getting back to normal and stomping into 4th? A few people, players included, just need to take a chill pill, suck in a deep breath and relax into the season. It's a shame we've blown it for the title but lets not make a drama out of a crisis!

I'm not blaming our results/performances solely on injuries as like you say when we have had a strong team out we've still been poor. But the injuries have played a large part as well, as the team hasn't been anywhere close to being settled, but it's 3 months into the season and we haven't had our strongest 11 out yet. And the majority of that 11 have missed games through injury.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

only a total ****wit would say an injured/unfit torres, gerrard, agger, johnson, aquilani, riera etc would make any difference to a team's performance.

          or just sack them!!
Thats a fair point . I remember us going through this under Houllier and the physio's/training methods were to blame , But surely It cant all be bad luck can it?

Riera's not much of a loss, Benayoun however is.

Benayoun is a big miss, but I think we'll also miss Riera he's a decent player and offers balance to the team, his only game this season he hasn't been fully fit, when he's fit he offers more than he's shown this season

TBH Yossi has been off the boil for the last few games, I was hoping Riera would be able to add something and give Yossi a well earned rest. Alas it's not to be. El Zhar may be in line to get a few games if he's ready.
