A letter to Hillsborough Family Support Group members read:

““The statue is not intended to elicit sympathy, but to tell the story of a tragic event which unfortunately part of Liverpool life, and which brought, and which continues to bring, Liverpool people together and those touched by this from further afield.

“It also shows that, 21 years later, feelings have not diminished, and so many still wonder why.”





Too much of a reminder in that sculpture for my liking.

To be honest , when I clicked on this thread and that pic was the first thing I saw I was stunned and my first thought was " how the **** have the mods allowed some sick **** to post this?" .................I know it is supposed to show a message but to me it just don't seem right and the cunts of the world ( mancs) will jump on that band wagon.

It's pretty raw to say the least, i think the sculptor has in his design, leaned to far on the side of a memorial to the events of the day, rather than a memorial to/for the people that lost their lives.

I think the families will have been expecting more a focul point of rememberance, rather than a graphic depiction of an unjust event that haunts them to this day.
