It really is pathetic, how some journalists insist on twisting an interview, Lipton writes a whole article on the basis that Rafa mentioning Torres being sold is odd, with a 'why mention it at all Rafa' sort of angle, without noticing, or maybe just deciding to ignore this...

Manchester United have confirmed that they have agreed a fee with Cardiff City for the signing of teenage midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Why is Rafa mentioning Torres being sold?? Either it's been discussed at board level or RB is offering the owners a chance to get rid of him. I know his little game - sell Torres to Madrid, quit LFC, then become the new manager at Real Madrid.

I don't know if that is what happened, but if you look at the the paragraph it looks pretty clear to me he was merely responding to a question:
