Why if we have two man markers is one of them not assigned to Adebayor would be my first question - or are you saying Lucas is but was blocked off?

We basically had 2 man markers marking three players. Ireland ran Gerrard off, so Lucas had to timeshare because of the N'Gog zone thing.

It gets complicated and it comes down to what Rafa said about if a player is near you have to challenge. Lucas was initially marking a player in front of him, can't remember who it was. Once the ball was kicked though it was obvious that player wouldn't get the ball, so Lucas went to challenge Adebayor but the other player blocked his run.

Not that it would have made any difference as Adebayor was between Lucas and the ball and Lucas would have bounced off of him anyway.


BTW I still don't get the N'Gog zone thing. Anyone care to speculate?
