Don't know if we would be condeding goals at the same rate. Players like Alonso, who can put their foot on the ball, calm it down and keep possession protect the back four but in a different way.

In alot of games last season we were completely dominating possesion 65%+ in many games, which meant the opposition were chasing the ball, and without possession they couldn't score. I've not seen the stats this season but I imagine this season it's been much closer to 50%
