Probably the right line up. Mascher and Lucas again I'm sure. FF(ffffffffff)S!

I wouldn't mind actually to see this midfield supporting Yossi and N'GogOriginally posted by Operation View PostProbably the right line up. Mascher and Lucas again I'm sure. FF(ffffffffff)S!
Kuyt - Gerrard - Lucas - Aurelio
Yossi
N'Gog* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

True, at the very least the main striker should be there but what I think Rafa wants is for other players to back the main striker up by making runs into the box so goals come from all over the pitch.Originally posted by Exiled_red View Post
My point relates to the main striker, if he isn't in the box, what chance have we got.
However, our players don't seem to understand that.
Either that or I've got it completely wrong and what Rafa wants more than anything is not to concede, which the players also don't seem to understand.

I'm not so convinced.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostWe'll win.
The real question is can Lyon do us a massive favour and pick something up in Italy ?"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

Have you seen the games where Kuyt has started on his own up front? He cannot play as a lone striker. In Athens he was practically playing behind his own midfield, and every time Pennant crossed it in the only one in the box was Gerrard.Originally posted by Operation View PostI disagree. With Yossi and Gerrard supporting, I'd prefer him out top to Ngog.

No, which is why I would opt for Kuyt.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

TrueOriginally posted by vonk View PostFair enough. I accept N'Gog is not much better. Both have a poor first touch. Depressing times when you think of the quality of strikers we used to have.
I think we'll have enough in midfield to win this one pretty comfotably (after 65 mins when Lucas is replaced by Aquilani anyway)
