Probably the right line up. Mascher and Lucas again I'm sure. FF(ffffffffff)S!

I wouldn't mind actually to see this midfield supporting Yossi and N'Gog

      Kuyt - Gerrard - Lucas - Aurelio

      Yossi

      N'Gog
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

If we can't beat this hungarian lot then we don't deserve to go through.....surley we can notch up our first win in a while even with our injury problems

True, at the very least the main striker should be there but what I think Rafa wants is for other players to back the main striker up by making runs into the box so goals come from all over the pitch.

However, our players don't seem to understand that.

Either that or I've got it completely wrong and what Rafa wants more than anything is not to concede, which the players also don't seem to understand.

                  I think we'll nick a point.

The real question is can Lyon do us a massive favour and pick something up in Italy ?
                    I'm not so convinced.

Have you seen the games where Kuyt has started on his own up front? He cannot play as a lone striker. In Athens he was practically playing behind his own midfield, and every time Pennant crossed it in the only one in the box was Gerrard.

But have you seen Ngog in big crunch games.....

No, which is why I would opt for Kuyt.

Fair enough. I accept N'Gog is not much better. Both have a poor first touch. Depressing times when you think of the quality of strikers we used to have.

True I think we'll have enough in midfield to win this one pretty comfotably (after 65 mins when Lucas is replaced by Aquilani anyway)

i'm dreading this. debrecen will be so up for it. and can't even see an early goal settling us. we just can't keep a clean sheet at the moment. FFS. Still, we'll win 3-1.

I agree, I think they believe they can still nick 3rd place even though they are 4 points behind us, given our current form of 1 win in 10.
