    De Jong's tackle on Babel!

Has the world gone mad or did De Jong tackle Babel with 2 feet in the air?! Am I wrong or should he have been sent off for it?
And then Carra goes & gets booked for actually trying to win the ball fairly, but mis times his tackle & gets booked. The standard of refereeing is beyond a joke & it seems like we almost always get on the wrong end of bad decisions.
    Thoughts?
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Yeah I watched it with a City fan and he said the same.

Carra's clumsy challenge was still a booking though.

Can't really remember it well enough to be honest so it's pretty pointless me commenting in this thread.

        Oh

Aye it was pretty poor I'll admit. Maybe I should copy something from another forum instead

He got the ball, but that doesn't matter as it was still a dangerous tackle both feet off the floor and studs up. I thought it was certainly a foul and at least a yellow card and I've seen red cards given for less, Andy Gray described it as a "pretty good" tackle, and sky didn't show any replays of it
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I mentioned something about it in the match thread and was even more amazed that nobody even mentioned it on Sky , If it was Lucas who made that challenge I bet my house that Monkey boy and his sidekick Andy arsehole grey would have made a right stink about it .Total and utter Bollocks again from the anti Liverpool parade

I'm glad you have mentioned this because I was adament it was a terrible tackle but didn't want it to sound like I was looking for excuses.

I suppose if Babel had jumped out of the way of it he would be accused of diving

I was watching the game on tv with some mates and was waiting for Sky to show it time and time again like they did Aggers cut but nothing at half time. Didn't watch the after game stuff but I presume Sky didn't show it again

aye theis tackle happened right in front of us (sitting in centenary stand) and everyone went mad. We couldn't believe nothing happend so we assumed in the tangle of legs it wasn't that bad. When i watched it back on sky i was gobsmacked - it's a two footed lunge, with both feet of the ground and studs showing! - doesn't matter if he won the ball! - Then andy gray saiid it was a good tackle and nothing more got made of it. Shocked really considering that usually every single thing gets picked up on.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Good i thought i was the only one that thought it was very dangerous'p, two footed lunge with studs showing =red card, yet nothing and Andy Gray spunking out about how good a tackle it was didn't help. The decisions (Ngog penalty apart) just haven't gone for us this season
