Furthermore, what is his strength? Every player has at least 1 - Mascher's tackling, Johnson's attacking ability, Benni's trickery/creativity, etc. Yet I can't think of anything that Lucas does particularly well or any trait that sticks out for that matter. I'm not bashing him, I just don't think he's good enough - end of.
Even if Rafa disagree's I honestly think a 70% Aquilani can offer a whole lot more to the team than a 100% Lucas...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

thanks. i was thinking ok, there's a kernel of a joke there, carter, an ineffective right wing...but it's a bad joke.

...he's got a good short passing game
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Rafa, he's the one who keeps playing players who aren't performing, rather than saying to babel right you start three games in a row and show me you are worth bothering with.
The substition policy absolutely baffles me, I don't pretend to know the players like Rafa does but it's almost like he's deliberately doing the opposite to what the fans can see.
I can't bring myself to call for his head though, he has done so much for us and I believe will do long term.

To be fair every time Babel has played from the start he has been poor or got an injury this season. Much as he has been in the past. The players who are underperforming now by and large have a history of quality performances.

I'm not sure other than bring players on late which seems a bit pointless that many of his decisions have been that hard to understand. I think we have to wait to see if a/ the injury crisis abates and b/ if when it does we see a change in the way he makes decisions.
