    Too bad he chose them.

His fee was 4.5 mil which is pretty big for a 19 year old who has only played 32 professional games. He might just well be a superstar in the making. I think we never had a chance with him.

Looks that way. This under-19 team are superb. Great time to start stripping our Spanish heart away, eh?

Whilst Pepe and Torres are still around I will retain some hope, but if Torres leaves it will be over. We need some more Spanish players...

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I only caught the second half but was very impressed with spain. They are so slick with their passing and their movement. They look proper players already. Dani apparently was better in the first half but I saw his goal, another good finish. Finishing I had thought was a bit of a weakness but he looks more like it now.

He needs to get some 1st team games with us this season or other teams will offer it to him. He has already been quoted elsewhere saying he needs to be in and around the 1st team squad.

La Liga newcomers Real Sociedad have confirmed their interest in Liverpool youngster Dani Pacheco.

The 19-year-old made his senior Reds debut in the Champions League dead rubber with Fiorentina last December and has gone onto make six more appearances since arriving from Barcelona in July 2007.

Pacheco has attracted the attention of several clubs in his homeland after impressing for Spain in the UEFA European Under-19 Championships and now Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has made his club's desire to lure the attacker to the Estadio Anoeta public.

He said: "Certainly Real Socieded are interested in Pacheco.

"He is a player we have followed, but we do not know if we can realise this operation."
