I don't disagree. However the article unfortunately does have some painful truths in it.

We've not won anything since 2005. Well, 2006 if you include the FA Cup. But it's hardly the big prize.

FFS what bit of him not playing or training for the best part of a year do you not understand. If you break a bone and that bone then heals, you still aren't fit. First you need to rebuild the muscle that's wasted, re-stretch and strengthen your tendons and ligaments, all hopefully under the guidance of professional physio's to ensure muscle balance and correct biomechanics and then rebuild cardio-vascular fitness. Then you can start to train fully with your team mates and understand how you fit into the team. Then you can start to build match sharpness. It's not a ****ing school team, we're talking best in the business here 95% fit is completely unfit!

We've been a lot less lucky than last year. I refuse to let 10 results completely blind me to other facts. Our squad (which many on here were saying was too big and needed 3 or 4 sold for 1 brought in with higher quality) is the same size as last year. Johnson is a lot better than Arbeloa, Aquilani has been injured. Yes we're missing Alonso, who wouldn't. but I don't blame raffa for giving Xabi a kick up ther arse at the end of 07/08, he deserved it and if he's going to throw his rattle out the pram for it then he never had the balls to be a Liverpool player anyway! If he'd have started sulking like Masch, i'm sure it would be "Raffs shouldn't keep a player against his will, Real would have given us 30mil last year, now we'll be lucky to get 20 blah, blah whine bitch blah"

I/xabi/his agent though all say this has nothing to do with it and its just that he'd been here a reasonable amount of time and wanted to play for Real, understandable and we made 20mil on the deal so hardly raffas fault.
