            09 Preston. Everton (H).
            08 Luton, Havant & Waterlooville (H). Barnsley (H).
            07 Arsenal (H).

I don't think you can consider that hard.

I wont go into your carling cup and champions league group draws either.

Having said that, our Champions league group took the piss a little

An extremely rare exception in a stream of tough draws in both domestic Cup competitions.

I'm not here to gloat, so that's an irrelevant point. FWIW i still think you might finish ahead of us after Robin's injury.

Just a bit. Our group was tricky - one we should've got out of, but tricky nevertheless. Yours took the piss. And every year in the Carling Cup we seem to draw yourselves or Chelsea.

                    07 - Arsenal = hard
08 - a rare easy year balanced out by drawing Spurs away in the other cup
                    09 - ****ing Everton. Okay they're **** but it's a hard draw.

With the dozens and dozens of teams we could draw, the frequency with which we draw difficult sides is ridiculous.

It's amazing how the press have gone into pity overload over RVP's injury. Doesn't seem to matter a **** that we've had Torres (miles better than Van Persie obviously) out more often than not - again - along with Gerrard, Johnson and about a dozen others. No-one ever says anything about it. Hilariously the other day I saw some headline about 'Decimated Arsenal'....and proceeded to list five injuries.

I dont know enough about all your draws, only remembered the Barnsley year, but based on the last 3 fa cup years, you've played 2 premiership ties out of 6, both at home and gone out both times. You're not owed a decent draw in that comp.

Unfortunately for both sides i can see us playing each other relatively early on in the competition with Chelsea and Man U getting easy routes.

                          Ok fair enough.

Surely you don't think an injury to one player will cause your season to fall apart, enough for us to overtake you ?.

Although if we could get our big players back playing together consistently we'd have a chance yes.

I think we'll finish 4th this year, can't see us finishing ahead of Arsenal. I'd take 4th now to be honest. Just get this wretched season over and done with and start again.

We've had the most injuries in the league this season.

                              Fabregas
                              RVP
                              Gallas
                              Clichy
                              Gibbs
                              Diaby
                              Bendtner
                              Song
                              Rosicky
                              Nasri

And we've coped remarkably well. It has been us and Everton at the top of the physio room injury list all season.

You've had 3 or 4 high profile players out, but we've had over 10 who regularly start or at the very least appear on our bench.
