Why hasn't Dossena been playing. He put more effort in tonight than Riera haqs all season put together. Darby was out of his depth. but hopefully he'll learn from that.

a nothing game, aqau started , nando looking great as per usual, darby is young , pacheco on for debut. carra got a rest. stevie got another one under the belt . masch was excellent

a lot of positives , would have been nice to win but as with a pre season friendly, result mattrs **** all.

it was a night to get fitnesss and avoid injury.

Pleased for Pacheco though, looked like he has a decent touch and awareness, nice to see Torres and Aquilani in the team. Darby did ok for much of it. Thought Dossena has looked our best left wing option this season, at least he runs at people and works hard which is more than Babel and Riera seem to want to do.

Oh and if it was a nothing game did we charge the fans going reduced rates?

Thoughts in no particular order.


1.) we've missed Torres
2.) Torres still looks like his movement is restricted.
3.) Diego did well.
4.) Dossena showed more grit and determination than babel has in 2 seasons.
5.) We're better with Gerrard in the middle.
6.) Darby is out of his depth.
7.) Aquilani needs games but is better than Lucas!
8.) We're poo at attacking set pieces, sort it out Rafa!
9.) Mascherano is class and more comfortable with a better ball playing midfielder with him.
10.) Rafa, take a chance and give Daniel P some game time!
11.) Wenger will be rubbing his hands tonight
12.) we're still average at best.

****ing lay off Darby. That was his first appearance of the season and against very experienced players. He is a decent player but by now he should have been given more minutes and more experience

This is a match that doesn't have any meaning other than building up fitness for the likes of Aquaman, Torres, Dossena the likes as well as getting some experience for the youngsters.

Fans asking for youngsters to be played now crucifying Rafa???? Can't imagine the reaction here if such mistakes happened in a game that actually matters.
