this team is about winning. liverpool is about winning. first is first. second is nowhere.

a lot of have forgotten what this club stands for.
Tonight, first was third, joint first was third and second was third. Liverpool were third regardless.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Tell that to the fans that went in the cold and rain. If it meant nothing perhaps the club could have been so kind to either give the tickets away or at least told people not to buy them as the game meant nothing.

We're Liverpool, every game should mean something. Hell a win bonus would have paid Gerrard's wages for a couple of weeks.
i gave my tickets away  (because i have more IMPORTANT games to travel to

brought on players, result not important , otherwise FULL STRENGTH would have played, last time i repeat myself
No Ronnie we should have put our strongest 11 out there tonight .. We are Liverpool we must win every game .. pre seasons and irrelevant ties included ..

people have different perspectives .. we can feel happy safe in the knowledge that we know we are right

I think it does matter we lost but at the same time I wasn't bothered by the loss. I've become fed up with it all, with rafa with kuyt etc etc. It was exactly the same during the houllier days. In fact there were times I'd happily take a defeat if it would hasten GH's departure.

Now I'm not at that stage yet, if kuyt was dropped my faith could start to be restored and I may even enjoy watching us again. But I already know Kuyt will play on sunday as will lucas. Its predictable and boring.

Ah well at least the countrys in a good state under labour. yay.

what about the fans who paid good money to watch the match. empty ****ing seats at anfield when the pre season match against athletico was a sell out.

fans have had enough. tonight should have been a statement about us. we should have tanked them 4 0 and told the rest me europe that it was a one off. instead we put out a limp performance like that. but that's been our story this season. utter rubbis

So, what do you think about Kuyt then Bob? With all the excitement of the match, I haven't been able to keep track of who said what. I didn't see the match, but you seem like a well balanced, intelligent poster who understands the game and could give me a critical but fair assessment of his performance. Was he MOTM?

we've hammered good teams at anfield before. don't delude yourself into thinking they were anything other than decent. they were well organised but when the draw was made we all thought it was a good group to have.

teams needed to work really hard to score against us but this season we're giving them away.

Probably the biggest bonus of the night. Although Nando and Aquilani were a major plus, they probably performed as expected. After Gerrard's recent performances (and body language), it was great to see him get stuck in again, and look dangerous.

That's probably why I'm so confident about Arsenal.
