I'd guess their PL scoring records are not as different as people make out and Tevez will have played more in a central attacking role.
76 games 22 goals and kuyt is 31 goals in 118 games

the one difference is that tevez can change a game on his own. kuyt rarely has. perhaps kuyt would be better used as an impact sub? come on when everyone else is knackered.

i would prefer to see benayoun start and kuyt on the bench against many of the lesser teams

I think it's coming to a point now where Rafa's position simply has to be questioned.
He's made some terrible decisions this season and baffling ones.

The players have to take a large chunk of the blame too...we've had far too many that have been out of form - Carra, Skrtel, Gerrard, Kuyt, Riera and even Mascherano hasn't been at his best although he's got it together this last few games. It's normal for one or two members of the squad being out of form but 6 or 7 at the same time? That's bound to be asking for trouble. They were massive players for us last season.

Then obviously the injuries have hampered us a great deal and it's something that you can't compensate for, it's just plain bad luck. but now that we've most, if not all back there can be no excuses.

It's time for everyone at the club to stop feeling sorry for themselves are get their finger out of there hole and start winning some football matches.

All you complainers make me laugh every season ,every f*****g season the flat-earthers come out and throw girly hissyfits.
Then we go on our usual run after christmas and these same people gush how brilliant everyone is.Some of you lot make me retch at your loyalty and total lack of support.

The net spend between selling momo and buying masher was £8m, so less than a third of what city paid for him even tho his value had dropped. Our outlay for masher was only £13m including the profit we had from momo- certainly worth the ugrade given the world class quality of masher and saldy diminishing form of momo.
                3rd place. Worst champions ever.

You only have a right to be as good as the money you spend. You hope a manager will add value to that. But then the other top clubs also have top managers with more money.

But this is the problem - we've been a decent RW and ST from winning the title for about 5 years!!

Its my opinion that Rafa doesn't like wingers who beat a man and get to the byline to put a cross in. He likes hard-working wide-men who cut inside and keep the ball.

Pennant's recent criticism of Rafa was that he always insisted on him taking the man on and reaching the byline before he crossed it in so I'm not sure that's true mate.

i would disagree, only because of Rafa's tendency to use riera in big games, who isnt particularly hard working and does like to hug the line

Riera doesn't hug the line, he comes inside all the time.

Where's he first choice? Ahead of Gerrard and Lampard in the middle? And surely you agree he's not world class....

In the last year plus he has been first choice in the middle with Lampard (with Gerrard playing left side of the three behind the main striker). Shaggy said he agreed with the rest of your post.
