The thing is, there’s no way Rafa will start him on Sunday. I’ll be staggered if he does.
I am absolutely certain that Rafa will start with Riise and Aurelio on the left on Sunday.

Me too. I don’t think Gonzalez will even make the bench. Gerrard on the right, Pennant sub, Garcia sub to cover either up front or left mid.

Do you think Rafa will go two up top? I hope so but I have a sneaky suspicion that it will be Crouch or Kuyt up front on his own as we play for a nil nil.

Add me to the list. I like Wilkins and think he is balanced in his views. Rather have him than Gray, Marwood or Smith. Plus he says things like "sent him for a pie" and " sold him for a kipper" which are always amusing.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

On a side note, it seems that i`m the only one who thought that speedy had a decent game and looked lively? I think considering he has found it harder than some players to adjust to our league, and he hasnt been getting enough football as he needs, he done very well. O.K. the final ball could and should have been better, but that can be worked on. Overall though I was impressed with his determination, and his desire to take players on.
I see more potential if given a run of games from speedy than I've seen from Pennant so far this season.
I suppose it depends on how highly Rafa rates Aurelio, as to speedy getting an extended run.

Now that’d surprise me, and anger me. I’d hate to see us set up so negatively.

Quite surprisingly Rafa now seems set on 4-4-2 and I expect Kuyt & Bellamy to start.

This side would make us pretty tough to beat IMO….

                Reina

                Finnan
                Carra
                Agger

                Gerrard
                Alonso
                Sissoko
                Gonzalez

                Kuyt
                Bellamy

Subs: Martin, Hyypia, Pennant, Garcia, Crouch

I thought Speedy looked light weight last night. For the first time I've begun to have doubts about him. His first touch and pace are ok, but he rarely beat his man, and was knocked off the ball far too easily. Slightly concerned. Hope I'm proved wrong.

yeah agree he does seem light weight but given a few games and time i'm sure we'll see the Gonzalez that terrified teams in spain last year.

To be honest I wouldn't mind 4-5-1 if it gave us a 1 nil win, we seemed to have a better shape about us when we switched to it last night, but I'm not sure any 1 of our strikers are suited to it.

The camera angles were poor last night , I think its like the old Asenal ground where the camera is bolted onto the dug out or something. Very annoying when a game starts and you realise you are watching Sh*tview cam !! I thought Ray wilkins did an ok job , he wasnt biased like he usually would be for a Chelsea or scum game. Overall we played only ok , the defence was good. I thought our biggest problem was the wide men (same old story), Gonzales seems to have a massive confidence problem , but im sure he will settle in ok given the chance ,and Garcia gave the ball away far too much , I think he much better up front. Id play Gerrard on the right ,only for the fact that we have the brilliant conbination of momo and Alonso in the middle. Come on Crouchy give us a few more goals on sunday ,show the fat granny shagger you are Englands no.9 !!!!
                            I was Riddler on Koptalk.
