Dossena at least provides good width, can keep the ball, gets stuck in and delivers a good ball. He's far from top class but he well last night and deserves a chance.

What the **** is it with the sudden Insua bashing .. the lad has done well, if your going to have a go at any defenders have a go at Carra he was utter gash early on .. correct me if I am wrong but i cant remember a single reasult which we could lay the blame on ****ing insua ..

I've always thought Insua was garbage, he's a liability..positionally all over the shop, gives the ball away in dangerous areas, is weak in the tackle, offers **** all going forward. You get the point.
I'm now seeing a few more posters backing up my views on Insua which took a little longer than i thought but eventually one or two are waking up and smelling the coffee with regards our very own Roberto Carlos. Better late than never eh.

Riera provides a good outlet, shows a little bit of promise then struts around the pitch for most of a game. Doesn't put the required effort in, it's the reason why City didn't buy him in the first place..his attitute and application leave alot to be desired. He's hardly setting any records with assists and goals either is he? I reckon he'll be gone in Jan or next summer.

His passing is the thing that lets him down most, i think he could do with a rest

He had a noticeable bad game, it did not help that he got a special mention from the commentators, but he is a very solid player and I have been quite impressed with him so far

Problem with these fans is that they are crying for chances to youngsters and when they don't play like 29 year old Gerrard they are ****, should be shot and loaned to Everton as dead horses.

Insua is very young defender and has been playing great. At the times his positional sense can be questioned but it is something that improves game by game (experience you know...).

Darby had satisfying debut and Kelly showed before that he should get more playing time.

Pacheco should be blooded to the first team so he could be Yossi's substitute. It was good to see intelligent movement at the last third. Little ******* knows where to move and in the future he will fit nice in with Torres and Gerrard.

Spearing has been decent, can fill in if needed but wont set the world on fire.

a new favouraite in the award fro players who piss u off the most goes to andrea dossena. last night he was IMO our best player. the tracking back he done to cover an ncreasingly worryingly poor defender in insua was admirable and his attcking play was good. on the basis of the game last night i'd go:
