    If we win today

There would still be an outside chance of us winning the title.
This season, more than any other in recent years, has shown that any team is more than capable of beating another.
Burnley v Scum, Wigan v Chelsea etc etc.
Yesterday's results were very good for us - now we need to beat the gunners and you never know....... a good run with a fully fit team may be on the cards!

I may be dreaming - but at least it's a positive one!

Don't think we have any chance to win the title even if we win today as I can't see us maintaining any sort of winning streak.

You know what mate, i thought exactly the same thing. But in true Liverpool fashion we will f**k it up, we just never seem to take out opportunities.

If we do manage to win and go on a run from now until January, who knows? If we are within six points off top going into February anything is possible.

While I really don't think it will happen I think that is the right mentality. We need to go into ever game from now until the end of the season no matter what as if it is a key game and look to get back to where we were at the end of last season where any result other than a win is a surprise. I do think third and possibly even second are up for grabs and if we put pressure on the teams above the chances will increase.

I do think that this season will end up being seen as a transitional one and that by the end (assuming CL qualification) the number of fringe/youth players who have stepped up to be considered valuable squad members will be as important as how close we are to the winners. That said if we don't go out with the desire to win things then the players will not develop the right mentality.

Hope springs eternal... We have historically performed more strongly in the second half of season so there is something to be optimistic about. It would be nice to string positives results together to lift the gloom, the negativity surrounding this club is unbelievable at the moment, it makes our anthem sound a little ironic.

If we can keep a settled back four and with Gerrard and Torres fit, we are a match for any team. Five wins in a row and the league would be looking a lot rosier. I don't think a title tilt is feasible; however, I would like to see us build a platform for progression next season.

We've certainly got the players that should be capable of going on a run, but the form book and current team mentality suggests otherwise. As much as I'd love to see us being involved right at the top I think that there is too much that is out of our control at the moment. The major problem is that we need more than one or two teams to ass it up. We can only play our games now and hope for the best.

Yeah - on analysis of the current league table, it nearly appears that neither the Chavs or the Filth have got the bottle to take the league by the scruff of the neck and open up a lead on the other - this can only be good for us and teams around us.

The way teams are dropping points at the minute, anything is possible. But, we have to get our house in order - if we can consistently keep the best 11 on the pitch - then we are a match for anybody.

I think one of the biggest problems we have, is we seem unable to open up a two or three goal lead. If we go 1 up, then, i can't relax until we get at least a second one. We seem to go back into our shell and invite teams on to us.

I just think we have to keep pressing in midfield (like the 2nd half of last season) and keep teams on the back foot (espically at home). Like Stevie said earlier this week, every game is a cup final now, i just hope we can produce consistent preformances that a cup final would warrant.

                    Good Luck today Lads...........YNWA.

Without trying to state the obvious we have just been too inconsistent, following up very good results with severely disappointing ones. So in that respect I cannot see us even challenging for the title let alone win it.

However, there IS still time on our side, and if we can get some consistency going who knows how things can pan out come the end of January/February.

It is that age old saying but lets just take one game at a time and with a bit of luck we may yet surprise a few people, myself included.
