Liverpool playing for fourth. There's nothing wrong with that. This club was established to aim for mediocrity.

Yep. Let's all sit in silence until the end of the season watching us drop to new lows. That's what being a fan is about afterall. Close the forums, they're not required.

I don't think you can really say that, it was his first Premiership game. Perhaps if he had had a few more minutes over the last month he would have done more.

This is our worst run for years. Benitez takes ultimate responsibility for it. Could you imagine Ferguson or Wenger going on a run like this?

At this stage I think any calls questioning Benitez's future are more than justified.
I do think we'll turn it around.

Wenger has gone **** runs like this. 06 they scraped into the CL places on the last day cos Spurs had food poisoning. Utd are in a different financial category to us so it is not quite the same situation.

That was painful. Unlike some posters on here. I don't think they're being fair at all. You could see from the word go that they were up for it. The ref was ****e today. I thought it would be a draw... but then I didnt factor in a freak (unfortunate) own goal.

As much as I don't agree with some of the posters on here, I respect their opinions.

I know its tough supporting LFC at the moment. But I do think we need to back Rafa still.

One quick point. I watched the Boro vs Cardiff match. And if ever there was a reason to stick with Rafa till the end of the season, its there at Boro. They were woeful!... But back to LFC. All I can say is keep the faith. As supporters we have to enjoy the good times and stick together through the bad times.

Not going to happen with Lucas babysitting Rafa's daughters. It would appear so anyway. How the **** did he finish the game yet Benayoun came off.

I'll remember that when the mancs get to 19 and we don't get CL football and the likes of torres and co leave to win things. Lets see how you deal with that then?

Yeah, Aquilani did nothing of note but that's grossly unfair on the lad.

Biggest problem was the disintegration of the team in the second half, no coherence whatsoever.

Yes, yes Kuyt scored but other than that he was pants. Benayoun tried but disappeared in the second half. Gerrard and Torres in the second half looked like players that hadn't played together for 11/12 games. Horrible to watch.
