We've been saying that all season though mate. And they have been reacting, they've started well and then just collapsed at the back.

I can't fault them for effort this season, thye've just not been good enough. I didn't see yesterdays game, so can't comment on the second half. But for the most part the lads have showed bottle and have tried on the pitch. Things jsut haven't been going for them.

But it's happened too often to say we'll suddenly be okay.
    Forwards.......

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I am taking one game at a time and looking forward to ManU dropping out of everything. Still think we are positioned reasonably strongly to get our **** together and have a much stronger 2nd half of the season.

I can see us beating Wigan, Pompey and Wolves.

But Villa could be a defeat.

If we can play half as well as we did in the first half yesterday against those clubs, we'll get maximum points. I saw enough positives yesterday to make me feel that things are going to get better.

The form up until now has been ****, but a loss against Arsenal could've happened if we'd been top of the table. These games always hang in the balance so as pissed off as I am with the season, I'm not too concerned with the loss. As long as Agger keeps fit and we add some attacking flair in the shape of Aquilani, I think we'll now start to move forwards, though, I still don't know if it'll be enough to get into the top 4. The one thing I really fear is another longterm injury to Torres, if we lose him for a month now, we won't be in the CL next season.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
