True legend, top pro for us and a great example to every kid in the youth team and reserves.

I wonder if he would change his mind for a England world cup swan song if Rio or Terry were to be out for the summer. He deserved 100% more respect than any England coach has given him.

Terry painfully has to recount to court the song from Liverpool fans about his "mum loving Scouse cock"

I don't think his form has been good enough and while England will have Johnson and Cole on the flanks I think they will want more pace and passing from a CB. Especially as Rio looks the one most likely to struggle.

****ing legend, what more can you say.

And that's what makes him so special ...

he will probably make it to no. 2 on that list, yet never pushed himself into the limelight, never has shown any form of jealousy - just what you need in your team ... a good, dedicated, honest, down-to-earth footballer.

If I had a daughter I'd love her to marry him.

(Well the money would obviously be welcome, too )

I love it how within a week of Stevie hitting his 500th Carra goes and outdoes him with his 600th.

I love how he never stops putting the club before anything - his pain threshold in Istanbul, his England career, and above all his own ego, i.e. not wanting to go on playing for Liverpool when past his best. His form has dipped this season, but this wouldn't matter so much if the defenders around him weren't so mediocre (and doubtless affecting his own concentration). Our defence is already paying the price of losing one wise old head in the form of Hyypia, losing Carra's experience and attitude would be disastrous. His form will rise again, we have a good few more seasons of him to enjoy, and I hope to God he goes straight into a coaching role with us as I couldn't bear to see him at another club.
