Pace was there but he holds on to the ball too long. Lazovic, who played on left in 2nd half had a better game and was a bigger threat.

jovanovic was good on the ball with pace (and a cute nutmeg in the first half) but he holds onto it too long, he would be so much better with the little give and go or something, btw what formation was serbia playing...? it was like a 4-2-2-2 with two defensive mids, attacking wigners and 2 strikers...

I think these observations after seeing one game of his in the World Cup ended up being pretty much spot on. He never knew when to release the ball when he has turned out for us.

Properly thought **** it - why not get the extra £££'s for a few more months here and then properly have more options in the summer.

Can't blame him for that - he took a gamble to try it in the premier league at probably the biggest club he'll ever play for - he wasn't good enough and he virtually admits that - it didn't work out, but he worked hard when given a chance and he's never moaned or spat his dummy out....so good luck to him the mad *******.

sometimes players get a bashing when they come out in the media and say 'i want to leave' or whatever but then if they say nothing and seem happy to pick up their wages and be in comfort zone, they get slated too.

At least he's being honestly. Hopefully he'll find a new Club in the summer, best for everyone.

He did. Wolsburg was willing to pay up to 6m to sign him but he couldn't agree on personal terms..
