    Hard worker and no skill.

Rafa loved to control games so why do so many of his purchases not seem able to control a ball?

Jovanovic isn't a winger. He is/was a striker who can put a shift in on the left but his best days have been upfront. He scored **** load of goals for Liege playing as a striker.

Jovanovic looks woeful, can't beat a man, doesn't get down the line, cut inside every time (reminds me of Riera in that way), zero creativity, zero productivity, actually is he Riera in disguise. Maybe LM is not the position to play this guy.

Jovo done two nice turns inside yesterday apart form that he was dreadful just as he was in last few games also. Said as much when Rafa originally went after him that he was a duffer, was terrible in world cup too.

This guy is definitely not the answer to our problems and IMO will be a squad player at best. We have serious problems in wide areas especially LM, when the **** are we actually gonna get this position sorted?

In Recent times in fact it feels like such a long time ago that we achieved sucess with free transfers and it actually is almost 10 years ago.

We seriously lack pace to be effective in a 4-4-1-1 and with a 4-3-3 IMO we have awful full backs who can't defend and we lack a world class DM based on the current crop of players Roy seems to be using. However if he used Agger, Aurelio and Babel and Kelly at RB and Johnson at RW it would be a totally different proposition

It could also be an odd strategical plan because Torres seems to regularly find himself wide left when Jova comes midfield or is that simply Torres covering Jova....
That's just it. He likes attacking through the middle but he cannot link nor feed Torres as he is overtaken by the defense too quickly.

Passing is what disappoints me the most as he needs time to see who he'll be passing to and when he does eventually decides to pass it is already too late.

For me he's a square peg in a round hole, not necessarily an issue of ability (we can judge that more long term). Everytime I see him he comes inside, we desperately need a winger, someone who will stay out wide, because we are just too narrow. All our play comes through the middle.

Perhaps he's an out wide version of Titi Camara without the shooting boots?
To me that is the biggest problem and no time in the world will address that issue. He cannot pass on the fly and by the time he does it is way too late (90% of his passes are going backwards and that drives me crazy). He has no confidence in his shooting skills so he is not a goal threat, he cannot play wide so he cannot feed Nando in the box etc. Very poor showing on his part and I don't think it will get much better.

Thought he was decent yesterday, without being spectacular. Unfortunately though, i think that sums him up.

I think he's come in for unfair abuse so far tbh.

He's been put in the deep end, early on and in difficult circumstances, he should be cut a bit of slack.
