jovanovic was good on the ball with pace (and a cute nutmeg in the first half) but he holds onto it too long, he would be so much better with the little give and go or something, btw what formation was serbia playing...? it was like a 4-2-2-2 with two defensive mids, attacking wigners and 2 strikers...

I must admit I found their formation very strange. They looked like disjointed bunch..Ivanovic played as hybrid RB/FB, both Stankovic and Milijas as defensive midfielders, Kolarev except for free kick was not mentioned entire game, Zigic and Krasic each blew it only 2 chances they had.. Very poor showing. Now they have to win over Germany just to have a chance to qualify as second. I wouldn't be surprised if they start with Lazovic instead of Jovanovic.

Serbia World Cup 2010 star Milan Jovanovic will not break his arrangement to move to Liverpool despite Rafael Benitez's departure to Inter.

The forward's contract with Standard Liege expires this summer, having already agreed a switch to Merseyside. But reports had emerged that Benitez's exit from the club by mutual consent at the end of the season would see him attempt to bring the 29-year old with him to the San Siro.

Speaking to Sporza, Jovanovic insisted he was on his way to Anfield.

“I will not break the contract because Benitez has left," Jovanovic confirmed.

It looks good. Not to generalize but the players from former Yugoslavia are especially drawn to big team names and it is matter of prestige for them. Not that money consideration is not relevant but playing for a big club is very important.

At least we might have one player next season then.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

                              Just hit the post

I like the look of him. Pacey, skillful, hard working, eye for goal. Free transfer as well. Can't complain at all. He looks like a good backup option to Torres
