Too bad Wolfsburg bid didn't come through. We could've gotten 6m for him. If we get half of that in summer I'd be thrilled.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostIf we get anything for him in the summer I'll be happy!
He won't be going back to Serbia. There is no club in Serbia (Red Star and Partizan being the biggest) that can afford his wages even if he is released on free.Originally posted by Rich View PostHe'll end up costing us a fortune if he heads back to Serbia.
Ideally we need a club from a major league to take him on a free, hopefully they can match his wages.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Yeah, but then we'll have to give him a payoff on top..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Milan Jovanovic's career at Anfield got off to quite the inauspicious start, as the manager who signed him left the club prior to the Serbian forward's arrival.
Under Roy Hodgson, Jovanovic made seven league appearances, and since Kenny Dalglish has been at the helm, he has made just two -- and none since Feb. 12., when he came on as a late substitute against Wigan.
Jovanovic, widely expected to seek a summer exit, confirmed that sentiment on Wednesday, according to Sky Sports.
"If I'm completely honest, I must say that I regularly think about this," Jovanovic said. "If I would move to Italy or Germany I would be happier than in England. My life would be nicer. And also for my career, it would be better to play in Serie A or the Bundesliga."
Jovanovic went to Anfield on a free transfer from Belgium's Standard Liege, a place where he felt far more comfortable.
"Liverpool is such a different place," he said. "I'm here alone, without anybody. I'm just a very lonely stranger. In my months here I haven't met anybody from my country. If I wouldn't have my wife and my kids I just couldn't speak Serbian with anybody."
Jovanovic did say that he believed coming to Anfield was too good of an opportunity to pass up, but things didn't go according to plan.
"Liverpool is of course a club which you can't refuse," he said. "My only regret is, that the coach, who brought me at Anfield, left the club even before my arrival. "If Rafa Benitez would have stayed in Liverpool I believe everything would be different for me.
"There were 15 other clubs which followed me but I chose Liverpool and make a mistake."

yep i heard he had the chance to move but nowhere will match his wages so he stayed...Originally posted by Cormack74 View PostThought he had the chance to move in January?
Properly thought **** it - why not get the extra £££'s for a few more months here and then properly have more options in the summer.
Can't blame him for that - he took a gamble to try it in the premier league at probably the biggest club he'll ever play for - he wasn't good enough and he virtually admits that - it didn't work out, but he worked hard when given a chance and he's never moaned or spat his dummy out....so good luck to him the mad *******.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
