    The £20million spent on Aquilani

Think it could have been spent better on at least 2 players who could have gone straight into the team or 1 marquee signing who wasn't injured

We paid what £5m up front, so i don't think the funds would have stretched to two good players actually. Certainly not when you consider wages, agent fees etc.

that 20 mill could have been spent on van der vaart who is available for around 6 mill and then 14 mill to spend on one more striker.

i'd rather have spent the 20 mill on aqua though as i beleive he will be a great xabi replacement once rafa gives him a game. it's the 18 mill he spunked on johnson i think he should have spent wiser.

Aquaman could potentially be as big a signing as Torres for us. Must think ahead sometimes, in this case we are. This season is a write off so why risk potentially one of the best signings LFC will ever make?

Give the guy a chance, he could yet prove to be a great signing. The problem is he wasn't available for longer than we thought initially
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Instant gratification is all people want though.

Interestingly the russian Chelsea signed for £18 mill in the summer Zhirakov???? made his premier league debut today.
Nothing mentioned in the press about that one is there
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

There is a difference though, as they are top of the league, plus 18 mill to them is like 18 thousand to us.
