One thing you SHOULD NOT say about Rafa

............and that's to say he is just like Houllier or our performances or just like under Houllier or our squad is as poor as we were under Houllier. That would be complete and utter ****!

Everyone is either dissapointed or pissed off with our season but to compare this to the Houllier years is right out of the Sky Sports, S*n and Daily Mail knee jerk, short attention span **** assessment of football!

Do you guys really remember what it was like under Houllier, you really think it's the same? You really think Rafa and Houllier are the same?

There are many valid critcisms of Rafa but this Houllier thing is not one of them.........................

It's exactly like it was when we were under Houllier. Mundane, unimaginative football with cringeworthy press conferences.

People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

We didn't go 11 games with 1 victory under Houllier to be fair

Or get to a stage where we we're feared throughout europe again. If progressive investment had come at the right time during Rafa's tenure we would be great again by now.

Yes, i admit it looks a loing way off now, but it's the same manager that made us a european force once more.

As i said, If the right progressive investment had come at the right times during his tenure so far, we'd be a whole lot better off now, last season was a time to push on, but the club just sat on it's hands, i think people really do underestimate, and have to soon forgotten what it was Rafa achieved with this club in europe, considering the restraints placed on him compared to other clubs in that competition, also the season on season progression that led us to 2nd place last season, again progression that was stunted once more by a lack of true investment, even after losing a player as important as Xabi funds were not forthcoming.

That's the way of the world, the recession has hit virtually everyone except team like Chavski and Man Citeh. What are we supposed to do, put up with **** results and **** performances until Warren Buffet decides to throw billions at us?
I don't want a team or a manager that relies on a rich sugar daddy before it puts in a decent performance, I want to see the manager get the best out of what the club does provide.

He took us to a Champions League Final with a mostly Houlier Team, and the following year to the final with a mostly Houlier purchased team.

I don't quite see why he is getting us all the credit for making us a force in Europe when the major runs and successes were with a Houlier purchased team.

(I am stirring up an argument of course)

Considering the ages of some of his squad at the time, and barring injuries, I don't think Houlliers side was much different to be fair.

                              I'd take Reina over Dudek.
I'd take Riise over Aurelio or Insua (deffo over Insua, but Aurelio is better technically, but then Risse had one of the best left pegs around)
                              Carra
Hyypia over Agger (Agger may yet progress into a better defender, but he's not yet reached the heights of Sami)
Johnson over Finnan (but its a close call as Finnan was superb defensively).
                              Kewell over Babel/Reira
                              Gerrard stays
                              Mashcer over Hamman
                              Murphy over Lucas
                              Owen over Ngog
                              Torres over Heskey

                              Jerzy Dudek
                              John Arne Riise
                              Jamie Carragher
                              Sami Hyypia
                              Steve Finnan
                              Harry Kewell
                              Steven Gerrard
                              Dietmar Hamann
                              Danny Murphy
                              Emile Heskey
                              Michael Owen

*can't consider Aquilani yet as haven't seen enough of him.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
