Aye, bet he's gutted now, he'd have played all this season if he'd stayed, hindsight eh.

But, our performances in defence convinced him he wouldn't get many games, and who would have thought different back then.

Ah well, hope he does good.

A feeling he'll be back one day.

True...... Even though when he did actually get a game there was a world of difference in class.....

Big Sam........ Will always be worth it

I can assure you both he is playing every week and seen as one of the fathers of Leverkusen's success this season.

All the papers over here expected a lot from him this season, and they got even more.

Personally I am still planning to go and attend my first ever Leverkusen match, just to see him in action ...

i was there, in the Kop - and i did shed a tear, just like the big man himself.

I was proud to be part of the tribute the Kop did for him that day, i've still got my peice of card from that day, it's framed in my house.

A true warrior, LFC through and through - he had many memorable moments playing for us - but, for me, the best was his display in the scum game at their gaff last season - he only kner he would play during the warm up and never put a foot wrong all game.

Love him. (in a sporting sense, might i add!)

BTW, anybody got a link to the Kop tribute that day?

Not only is he a regular, he's also always in 'team of the week'. Seems to be one of the Leagues best players from what I've read.

                            ****in love Sami
