This is what I was getting at before, it seems unlikely that Plessis and El Zhar are going to make it. Although El Zhar played a few games last year, it seems either are unlikely to feature now unless we're desperate, even though they are closest to the first team, is it time we moved them on?
They are occupying places in the reserves that if they were moved on would potentially allow other players to move through the system and develop. I think the problem we've had recently with youth development is that we've let players stay at one level for too long, and that has 'become' their level as a result they've not been able to step up beyond it.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment
