I loved Redknapp when he played for us, now imo he is just one ****ty ex pro commentating amongst many ****ty ex pro's commentating. I think they should mix it up a bit, get the ex pro golfers commentating on the footy, footy players on the rugby, rugby on the golf etc etc Maybe that way they wouldnt have any biased opinions and just see it as it is.

I cant mak my mind up on Redknapp, i think whilst he's been on Sky Sports it seems to me that he actually has it in for us and never hesitates to stick the boot in when Liverpool are struggling.

Maybe he is genuinely a nice guy but there's something not right about him.

I can't really work up any feeling for him either way now. I liked him as a player but as a pundit he is lacking in insight and frequently seems afraid of saying things about people he knows in the game. That may well be a function of him being a nice guy but it is certainly part of what makes him hopeless at his job.

two minds over redknapp. used to idolise him as a kid. he played the way i wanted us to play. but some of his comments since he took up punditry have been ****ing ridiculous. yet he still talks about lfc as "us" or "we" when talking bout us. and his wife is still a ****ing ride!! basically, i find the guy a decent enough bloke prob a bit bitter to be retired at such a young age and never got to show his true potential.

In fairness he's not as bad as some, the BBC had Alan Shearer for a while and he was typically boring, also Ian Wright gets does alot of punditary work on the England games and went off in a sulk refusing to talk in one game.

Being a pundit has to be one of the easiest jobs in the world, you just get paid for giving your opinion on football, we all do it on here for free! I guess the TV companies need someone high profile and capable of putting their opinion across, regardless of how good (or accurate) what they have to say is, if they want people to listen

I have a weird feeling that David James will make a good pundit sooner or later...he just seems very well spoken and thoughtful in his views.

He's making a living out of being in the media. Why do so many reds seems so surprised when he gets on with his job as per the prerequisite of Sky Sports (i.e. being a controversial cunt).

We are no longer paying his wages and he wants to make a name for himself in the media. Times change and there are many many ex pro's now looking to retain an involvement in the game, they are 2 a penny.

Bumped into Redknapp in the food section of M&S London Colney. He kept eyeing up my ex every time we walked past him which got a bit too much when it was every bloody aisle. Came across as a bit of an arrogant **** tbh.
