People always argue that changing a manager mid-season is a disastrous thing to do, but I can't help wondering if, freed from his over-complicated, over-cautious, over-controlling mass of instructions, our players will feel liberated, will no longer be afraid to express themselves and will let their own strengths come to the fore. The Houllieresque gutlessness, lack of flair and downright stifling of talent is driving me absolutely insane.

i think Rafa has one transfer window to save this seasn and his job imo.
If we dont bring in 3 or 4 quality players and shake this shower of **** up it will be curtains for Rafa, for whatever reason the squad look apathetic to say the least._____________________________________

that young lad karacan was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. We should be looking at players who fancy battles not our bunch of bottlers.Originally posted by BigChief View PostLucas played better than Torres and Gerrard combined. I'm sure Reading would still rather have these players.
As for lucas and gerrard - two players of undisputed quality. If you were surrounded by utter ****e as these two have been for the most of this season how motivated would you be.
We are a ****ing 2 man team. (plus reina which technically makes it 3)[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

This is indeed a sad reflection on our team this season. Since our hoofers left (Hyppia, Riise, etc) we've actually got WORSE not better at cutting out the hoofing. Lack of spending power from owners? Sure. But after 6 years at a club you would have thought our backline had the ability of passing instilled in their very bones!Originally posted by Dr Evil View PostNo composure on the ball in our own half at all!...My sunday league team will look no worse in defence tommorow morning when we try hoofing the ball out everytime it comes near one of our players! One tit for another.

Infact he did quite well when you judge him against his own standards.Originally posted by Nicey View PostBest player for us obviously, but no no carry on .. he was **** wasnt he[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Lucas and Gerrard were not good but then they had no options and no movement ahead of them

3 games unbeatenOriginally posted by Nicey View PostWe have not sinked to new lows we are 3 games unbeaten with a replay at Anfield .. chill out
Love the spin and the optimism, but is this what we've become?
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
