Lucas, Reina and Torres at least tried to make something happen, rest were equally bad. Maybe Mel Gibson should come and motivate these lads, teach some crossing with passion.

I think that the problem is that we aren't playing creative players, we aren't stifling talent we just don't have enough talented attacking players on the pitch. In Midfield we had Gerrard who was really the only attacking or creative player. Lucas was the holding player, Kuyt's game on the right has suffered more than most in the absence of Alonso and I don't think he suits the system we now play, and Aurelio is a full back playing on the left. This is a very defensive lineup for a game against lower league oppositionOriginally posted by scully View PostPeople always argue that changing a manager mid-season is a disastrous thing to do, but I can't help wondering if, freed from his over-complicated, over-cautious, over-controlling mass of instructions, our players will feel liberated, will no longer be afraid to express themselves and will let their own strengths come to the fore. The Houllieresque gutlessness, lack of flair and downright stifling of talent is driving me absolutely insane. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

And what exactly is the point of having Ryan Babel sat on the bench? £11m winger/forward sat twiddling his thumbs while we continue to play 2 left backs. No pace on either wing at all, game after game after game. The ball either gets passed sideways, backwards or hoofed up to the opposition goalkeeper. ****ing ridiculous.

he did well when you compare it to the lucas scale of relativity. But with lucas it is all relative to the **** that he has dished out before.Originally posted by Nicey View PostHe had a good ****ing game .. did you watch it ?
To be fair to him you cant judge him by any other standard. So yes he did well and was probably our best player.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Lucas was our best player on the park today .. Stevie was gash, Torres its hard to judge considering he got onto the ball 6 times in totalOriginally posted by el matador View Poster sorry that should read torres and gerrard. of course the FA Cup throws up strange results, but our performance was piss poor and its not exactly uncommon nowadays is it? 3 games unbeaten, one flukey win against Villa in injury time, a win against Wolves and a draw against a Champsionship side....losing 4 games ago convincingly against the poorest side in the EPL.
How ****ing long is this **** streak going to continue before we say enough is enough?
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
