Regardless of who the manager is we don't have enough attacking players in wide areas at the moment the attacking options for both wings are:

    Riera
    Kuyt
    Benayoun
    Babel

I don't see any of those as being top class players who would terrorise a fullback and that's the problem
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I thought Lucas was good tonight too but I have to ask myself why a totally non-creative player seems to stand head and shoulders above the rest of our team. Thank god mascherano is out for a while to give aquilani a chance to create something. Not that he was any good either mind.

You have to be able to keep the ball before you can think about going on the attack!!

Or we could just keep doing what we're doing now. Thats leaving creative players on the bench, playing more defenders on the pitch then we should be doing, encouraging players to pass BACKWARDS as often as possible like theres a backroom bet going on to see who can get the most backpasses in a season and win the giant ham for christmas, hoof the ball as often as possible to win a second giant piece of ham, oh and also play as **** and boring as possible for a possible hat trick of ****ing ham. You might love this style of football, I certainly ****ing dont.

That's not to say that he was outstanding or anything because the rest of the team were ****.

Didn't watch the match but as usual, as soon as we have a bad performance, you always see the same faces getting on Rafa's back. They're nowhere to be seen when we win or do well.

Riera does play on the wing for Spain, but he's more of a 'steady winger' than a 'flair winger' if you know what I mean. He's a good player and I feel he gives more than anyone else in wide areas but I feel we need at least one pacy flair winger.

we were linked with kuba the polish right sided player from dortmund last season and he is very quick.

We do lack genuine pace on the flanks unless babel plays.

You didn't watch the match but can you still critisize other fans for voicing opinions about the game

                          You are laughable.

Well actually I don't normally criticise the team when we play badly, and I'm certainly around on the post match threads when we lose, but I have to say I have had more than enough of this. The team is going backwards in terms of options, general skill levels, tactics etc.
                              Really?

So do the people who voice their disappointment at the team. However I've noticed it seems to be regarded as ok to insult these people as long as you're saying something positive. Getting a little old around here.
