Daniel Agger - the most over-rated player in Liverpool's history.

Why?

He wins **** all in the air, he lets players run past him evey game, he is out on the touchline when crosses come in.

He really isn't a great DEFENDER, we all know he's silky on the ball, brings out of defence blah blah blah but his job is to defend and he's not very good at it.

Myth.

Agger is an excellent defender and has done well with Drogba in the past. Everyone remembers the time Drogba destroyed him. Well he can do that to anyone but since then Agger has put in some great performances against him.

I personally don't see what the fuss is with Agger. I'd much prefer a good old fashioned centre half that defends first and foremost.
If we had one of them we'd leak less goals and be harder to beat.

Unlike with our other great defenders down the years - Carragher, Henchoz, Hyypia i never say **** great defensive header from Agger there, great block or what a tackle that was.

agreed. but he was shocking last night (one night in issolation). good to see him playing games on a regular basis though.

Great defenders don't always have to make great last ditch tackles and blocks etc, you rarely saw Sami Hyypia do such things because he was a great reader of the game and could anticipate danger and snuff it out before a last ditch tackle or block was needed.
