The confidence has totally drained out of this team but it'll just take a run of 5 or 6 games to get it back. Whether or not Rafa is able to put it together this season remains to be seen. To be honest I can't see this season ending well whether we change manager or not so I'd prefer to wait until we can find a viable replacement for Rafa instead of just calling for his head and hoping that Dalgleish or anyone else can turn this around.

Not going to single anyone out but we are the most narrow, over complicated, dire footballing team in the football league at present. It is utterly dreadful and all down to one man.

When are we going to get rid of Rafa??

Souness's team was better than this.

It's nothing to do with G&H, it's all Rafa.
I seriously doubt you have been watching Liverpool for the past twenty five years if you think this is the worst team we've had.

for me, up until last summer the total of Rafa's teams were always greater than the sum of the parts, sadly this season it's gone the other way, exactly like it did with Houllier .............. but this time I'm behind Rafa and still think he can turn it around, he can do for us what meester ferguson did for the mancs, he just needs to get over this (prolonged) dip and he needs us to get behind him

I've seen a lot worse performances from liverpool teams over the years. Most of the Souness era and the last 18 months of Houflier were consistently worse than now.

I actually saw a few things to give me some hope last night, i'll get to that in a second but firstly. Remember 3 things.
              1) ManU just lost to Leeds in one leg
              2) McAnuff is actually a decent player!
              3) Most of our team are lacking match fitness and it showed (Agger, Skrtel, Aquilani, Babel) and we've not had any consistency to build that instant understanding between players.

              Anyway poitive signs:

              - Lucas can pass forward.

              - Aquilani when he gains some match fitness and is more familiar with his team mates movement is going to be great.

              - Our midfield tried to play some nice triangles, sure the understanding and anticipation between Lucas, Aquilani, Babel and Yossi was missing, but that will come with time together.

              - Insua didn't get constantly skinned, proving he learns fast. Still a long way to go, but he has plenty of time.

              - Maybe G&T will have their operations.

              - Deggen not only exists but can play a little bit too.

              - We can concentrate our small squad on the league.

On the down side Gerrard didn't look interested from the tunnel before the game until he came off, Rafa still says the same old stuff in public. If he's lighting a fire under them in private that's fine but its time to change the routines in trainiing and freshen things up a bit. Oh yeah and the most noise the crowd made all night was the Boos at the end. ****ing sing you ungratefull cunts, wouldn't have been many OOT's last night so you locals, have a word eh?
