I think a new manager with a more attacking mentality could do alright with our squad. Take the shackles off and we'd improve a lot.

It's just so easy to look good against us though. We've lost something like 12 out of 30 games this season, nearly ****ing half. I suspect if we played Darlington this weekend they'd give us a game or maybe even ****ing beat us. We're soft, spineless and play with so much anxiety it makes you feel sick watching us.Originally posted by frank the tank View Post
Reading are cheating their fans too though - if they played like that week in week out they'd be looking down on Newcastle nowThanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

if you look at our style of play and the fact that we look totally ****ing clueless when in posession of the ball then maybe he should go now.Originally posted by Operation View Post50/50 for me at the moment. May as well wait til the end of the season thinking rationally about it.
If things dont improve there isnt a chance in hell that we will qualify for the champions league and if making a managerial change now will allow us to clinch 4th spot then so be it.
Its a risk but our season is pretty much over already to lets be honest the first decent team we play in the europa cup we will lose to.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Trouble is, who would we get at this stage of the season and with our financial circumstances. As **** as things are, I think we've got little choice but to stick with him until the end of the season and see where we end up. Fourth place and a win in Hamburg gets him another season, anything less and he goes.

I agree. I can't see where a change in our play or attitude will come from.
How are we so much worse than last year?

Kenny. With Sammy as his number 2.Originally posted by calvoboy View PostTrouble is, who would we get at this stage of the season and with our financial circumstances. Short term solution, but I think it might just work.

These are pretty much the same players who realistically challenged for the top last year and now can't beat a championship side at two attempts. The players haven't got crap overnight - there's more to it than that and perhaps it is time to look to the top. Either way, something has to change. This wouldn't be a knee-jerk reaction - there's enough supporters who've called for the manager's head after every game lost. This time though its different - its the middle of Janaury, we're out of all the cups and we're limping (to put it mildly) in the Premiership.

the criteria by which he is judged successful changes almost evert week. Last week is was win the FA cup, win the europa and 4th place and he should be given another season.Originally posted by calvoboy View PostTrouble is, who would we get at this stage of the season and with our financial circumstances. Now its win the europa and finish fourth. In a month or so it will be finish 4th and he gets another season.
