For Gods sake hes been at it since the season started he cant live off the ast forever.

He has been given time but his time ran out with me last night when he has Lucas and Aquiliani on for short passes on numerous occasions and played the ball to there centre backs and goalkeeper.

Fine - have an opinion on him but try putting it forward respectfully rather than calling him a disease on the club and a pathetic excuse for a player. Argh it's crap like this that makes me hardly bother posting in the football forum these days.

Though Reece, we've got to try and fight on 'crap' like this, if not this forum will be a one way traffic for abuse and knee jerk reactions.

Dont be such a drama queen mate, Carragher has clearly been given plenty of time to sort out his ineffececies this season and has failed to address them.

Why dont you come up with a constructive argument to defend the Carragher of this season and not the one of previous seasons.

Forums are about discussion, if you cant put up haw you feel then whats the point.

I have been a massive Carra fan for years but I dont like the way he ignores players in the team plus hes playing ****e.

Why and how has he turned from a great loveable man to a complete an utter imposter.

Why won't he admit we are and were rubbish!!!

Pete how the hell is this knee jerk, come out and make your case for Carra rather then trying to take the higher ground.

I used the word disease because its spreading through the tteam and affecting our overall play and shape.

I think you're all wrong because we're going to have the same arguments in 5 years.

Carra has been a fantastic servant to this club. He may not be at his best, but I would try to be a bit more respectful with how I speak about him. That is all.

I still think you've got a point though, if your analysis that he doesn't pass the ball to Lucas and chooses to hoof it up instead, is accurate. As a team, all the players should try to help each other, as we don't need an individual trying to be 'holier than thou'.

You're completely missing the point. I'm not arguing whether or not Carragher has been poor this season or whatever - it's pretty clear he has. But calling a player who has been a great servant for the club (and may continue to be) "a disease" and "a pathetic excuse for a player" is neither constructive or worthy of much more refined a response than I have given you.

we lost at home to a team, who are, what 33 places below us in the league standings? it hurts, it really, really hurts, no so much the results, but the overall poor conditions at the club, partly due to rafa, partly due to players being a bunch of overpaid primadonnas.

No one can dispute that like many players Carra is having a poor season, but it's one season, our defence would have been all the more poorer without him all these years, whether with limited ability or not he's been good for lfc, no doubt, and players with good positional sense can adapt as age progresses, to a point.

There are many at Liverpool at present with points to prove, that they are worthy of a place in the future, so many watershed moments in one season has been damaging, we could have done with the Carra of old this season, solid and steadfast, but it's not to say he wont be again, even if he does hoof a touch more than he needs to, ok a lot more, but his strenght has always been his defending, we know that and have done for ever.

I have given a good account of why I feel so strongly about Carra at the moment. I haven't just all of the sudden said hes ****e etc. But its clea to me that any player who time after time refuses to pass the ball to a player because he doesnt rate him should not be in the side, do you agree or disagree.

I think its pathetic that a seasoned pro cannot help to nurture a young talent and completley overloooks him. Its ****ing embarrasing for Gods sake.

Maybe the player isn't in a good enough position? How can you be sure he does it on purpose mate?
