Stoke Away - D-day for Rafa

Win or its all over for the big man i'm afraid.

I cant see us winning but I really hope we do.

So many problems on the pitch t solve against a team that will smell blood and has had plenty of rest.

Rafa needs a win here big time otherwise the top four is going to be an up hill battle.

He's 'guaranteed' it because he's trying to be positive amidst all the doom and gloom that you all seem to be wallowing in.

Theres only a minority wallowing in it mate I think most of us want Rafa to turn it around.

I think the Spurs game will be more significant. The reaction of the home crowd, particularly if we contrive to lose against Stoke, could be the clincher.

Lose both games, and lose the backing of the Kop, which has so far stood by him in general, and his position will surely be untenable.

Of all the teams it had to be ****ing stoke. I really thought we would turn it around last night but if we couldn't do it against reading then i know we wont against stoke. I might actually do a prayer for the team for once

So the Stoke game is probably more significant then.

'Pep talk'? Do you need a 'pep talk' often when you're not doing well? If you were a child then I'd understand it, but you're an adult right?

The same 'pep talk' seem to have served us well at half time in Istanbul right?

If you think that we are just a 'pep talk' away from turning things around then you're deluding yourself mate. No offence, but you see my point.

But he hasn't guaranteed anything is it? He said it himself. What would you expect him to say when some plonker is asking him: 'Would you guarantee your supporters CL football next season Rafa'????

If he'd said, 'No, we are ****e', what would you say? FFS.

But that's exactly what he was saying. Rafa is utterly ironic when he's annoyed by the press.
