Liverpool today revealed the extent of the injuries sustained by Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and Yossi Benayoun against Reading last night.

A Club spokesman said: "Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres both underwent scans earlier today after coming off in the FA Cup tie against Reading.

"Steven has a hamstring strain and will be out for a fortnight, while Fernando has torn a cartilage in his right knee. The injury will require surgery and he is expected to be sidelined for six weeks.

"Yossi Benayoun also suffered a fractured rib in the game and will be unavailable for between three and four weeks."

unreal isn't it - the whole club is just falling apart. torres and gerrard haven't been right for weeks, johnson and benayoun have been struggling, riera not been fit.

it's one big cluster **** - and wiht no money we are screwed - time for someone from somewhere to step up and provide us with one beacon of hope, a miracle

Always our top players. Always. Torres, Gerrard, Johnson, Riera (don't care what people say, he's in our best XI)...continually ****ing injured. Worst season ever, not just for us but I don't think any club has ever had a season like this. If it didn't make me a glory hunter I'd just walk away from the sport and the club now. I just don't need this ****. However, we'll all stick it out....
