    Arsene Wenger

After the game last night I sat there trying to decipher what has gone wrong with our club over these last few years.

Rafa is not solely to blame here but he does have to take the brunt of it as manager of the club. The football we play and have been playing for some time both under Benitez and Houllier has been pretty poor and not the type of football associated with this club, last night had to be worst I've felt in a long time and also I believe it's the lowest point I've felt as a fan and I'm now thirty.

I believe that Rafa should stay in charge until the end of the season as the man deserves at least some respect as he does love the club but he is not the right man to take us forward, that man is Wenger.

The foundations have already been made by Rafa over these past few years with the youngsters he's brought in, if Wenger was to come in as manager he can then bring in his own style of managment and play to our great club. He would transform the whole club from top to bottom and in the process would re-ignite some pride and belief in LFC as a club.

I know the chance of it happening are slim but the board and owners should be in dialagoue with Wenger now trying to persuade him to join us and take us forward, I also believe his contract is coming to an end after this year. Surely Wenger would relish the opportunity to take over at Liverpool and it would be a massive challenge to resurrect us a club but I believe only he can do it.

The club is a mess right now and it is slowly rotting away, it is in desperate need of something different to take us back to the glory days as we are losing our status as an iconic club.

        Exactly.

Were they not struggling to finish in the top 4 as well last season?

It won't be long before that Aresnal team start winning trophies mate I'm sure of that.

It's not just the trophies side of things it's the whole way we play mate, we are horrendus to watch. I know that we have two rotten owners at the club which isn't helping our cause but the club needs sorting out from top to bottom.

Wenger imo is the only man out there who can sort us out, I believe he would go and would relish the opportunity of being the man that sorts out our club.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Something a few knee-jerkers round here should consider before talking of impending disaster.

Wenger is a great coach and I love watching his style of football. But he wouldnt leave Arsenal for us because he would have to start all over again from the beginning, overhaul the whole club and change our style. He would have to implement a whole new style and organization. Why would he want to start from scratch when he is making progress now?

The decent thing would be for Icon to now delete his post so that your follow up joke makes sense.

Or is there more to Mick McCarthy than meets the eye?

How high must some of you be to think a manager like Arsene Wenger would leave Arsenal to come and work at Liverpool? Its astounding...

I think IF he leaves Arsenal in the next 10 years it will be for the French national job.
