It might not work out for Rafa but i tell you what, if he goes you have to admit he has left us with a pretty fine squad for years to come, this squad isnt houiller-esque for sure.

Ok Chelsea have the money but Maureen never built a legacy, Arsene did and Fergie has built 1 or 2 squads but this one is ****

My heart wants Rafa, my head says a new man has a quality suad to work with........

Add another top striker and have everyone 100% fit, then yes.

He still needs to go, the squad is decent but imo still not good enough.

Get a fresh start with a new manager.

he works hard and thats it. We could have brought James Milner or Ashley Young for the same money.

Massive unfair weight on his shoulders.
        29 Krisztian Nemeth
        39 Nathan Eccleston

that is a far too negative outlook on our squad......you could easily do a super positive one as well

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nobody is forgetting Istanbul and nobody ever will but for once the videos of that game seem like a life time ago and we need to deal with the here and now.

I agree with you mate, I was thinking about this for some time. If Rafa goes, he's leaving a hell of a better 1st choice team IMO then Houiller. It requires some tinkering and a hell of a lot of man-management and motivation and you potentially have a world class team.

World class players can get you so far. A manager who can get the best out of the players at his disposal gets you further. I've always maintained we have a good squad. We need a decent backup striker for Torres but apart from that we have one of the strongest squads in the league. It takes tactics and belief to make it work. How many times have we seen the scum put out a pretty ordinary looking 11 only for them to batter some team. It's because their scumbag manager instills belief. Our lads look like a bunch of strangers who forgot what the plan of attack is. The players don't believe any more, and it's hard to get that back. One or two isolated defeats can be overcome and written off as a blip, but what has happened us takes a lot of coming back from in the mind. It's not good.
