    Pelligrino

Waste of time or a guy worth keeping at the club?

    what does he do?

    It's a fair point.

He is supposed to be our defensive coach, yet our defensive is absolutely shocking. Especially stuff like set pieces which is surely one of the main parts of Pellegrino's job ?

Yes this one is fine, because it doesn't focus on how the guy looks

When he came as a player wasn't he credited as being one of the key people in showing the others how to organise the zonal marking?

I'd assume as defensive coach his duties involve something similar now with the current players
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Defensive coach. As a player he was credited with helping the squad to get to grips with Rafa's defensive systems. Not just zonal marking on set-pieces, but different styles of pressing etc. Don't know what his day to day duties are now that he's a coach, but I do know that it's got **** all to do with us. Every manager needs to be able to pick his own backroom staff without interference as he's the only one that knows exactly what their contribution is towards the club's ambitions. Rafa has also demonstrated in the past that if any of the backroom staff aren't up to it then they will be on their way.

As fans we know less than nothing about what they do or how important their contribution is, so it's pointless speculating.

I don't think he's done enough to warrant it.

If Pellegrino is a yes man then you could Sammy Lee is too. We don't know but can only assume that nobody on the backroom staff influences Rafa

I don't think it's unfair to ask questions of our defensive coach when our defensive is ****.

its how he looks that pains me though combined with his overly tight childlike grasp of the clipboard.

since when is it a crime to use appearance as part of a half arsed way of lightening the mood in this place?

                        jason pineapple lee anyone?

i think pako's departure hit benitez harder than we all thought. Sammy Lee doesnt look like he wants to question benitez. pellegrino, valles and the funny little man all look like yes men.

Something is broken permanently inside of our club and rafa cant fix it.

Has anyone heard rumours of an apparent bust up between gerrard and benitez at half time ?
