Post a picture of yourself in here, then we'll decide which one of Pellegrino or you we'll all chuckle at.

He did alright last season though.Originally posted by el matador View Posti think pako's departure hit benitez harder than we all thought. Sammy Lee doesnt look like he wants to question benitez. pellegrino, valles and the funny little man all look like yes men.
Something is broken permanently inside of our club and rafa cant fix it.
Has anyone heard rumours of an apparent bust up between gerrard and benitez at half time ?

How do you know? How does anybody know? I always find this speculating about the relative merits of our backroom team utterly pointless as none of us have a clue about their work, their levels of input/influence....nowt. We have zero insight. It's too easy to see "well Pellegrino's the defensive coach, we can't defend, ergo he's ****".Originally posted by Bender View Posthe's a yes manLast edited by Shaggy; 14-01-10, 08:26 PM.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

There is a hint of truth in there though in fairness.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHow do you know? How does anybody know? Why, because last year we had the best defensive record and this year it's wank? If people relied on such assumptions to analyse things, then it's a sad state of affairs. And even if it's the case, the way this moron vilified Pellegrino is way other the top.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I don't know mate, like you say none of us do. But can't we speculate? Doesn't stop hundreds and thousands of posts on the re-financing of the club, the debts, the new stadium and the like. All things that NO ONE outside of the club actually has any reakl knowledge on.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHow do you know? How does anybody know? Rather than post slagging the team for another half hearted performance I picked out the one thing from last night that irritated the hell out of me and has done for ages. Not the actual face or physical appearance of the guy but the way he stands with his clipboard and hat giving out instructions. I hate the way rafa takes down notes all time.

The difference is that we can speculate on most of those things because it's possible to make an educated guess about how finance might be put together, or to compare naming rights deals or sponsorship deals that have been achieved by other clubs, or go through published accounts to see how the finances stack up and what the level of debt is, or to look at how much other stadia have cost and how they have been financed recently, or to look at public statements made by the Owners and to see what they might mean, or to look at overseas investors who have made clear their intentions to invest in premiership clubs, or to seize upon sightings of potential investors at Anfield and speculate as to what they might be there to discuss.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostExactly.
Unless you're at Melwood on a daily basis though, no-one can possibly make any sort of educated guess about what Pellegrino does, or how important he is to Rafa's team, other than to say "he's the defensive coach, I guess he runs sessions in training to work on the defence".

Well I'd like Rafa to leave tomorrow so it stands to reason I'd like his side kick to go too.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostExactly, beat me to it.
But I wonder what that clipboard and all those bloody notes the pair make between them actually achieves?Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
