Capello? **** no. The football would be given more dire than now. After Houllier & Rafa I want a manager with charisma, one that inspires the team to reach better heights. One that puts arms round shoulders where required and gives other a kick up the arse. There must be someone in the world?Originally posted by -V- View PostNo no no no no. Don't want Hiddink, no way.
We should get Capello after the world cup, sound him out nowAlways borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

hiddink is a top coach and knows how to set his teams up technically, physically and tactically.
We would transform from a slow moving team to one that is dynamic and plays good attacking football using the diamond formation.
He would be a fabulous acquisition and knows how to motivate players and doesnt over complicate things.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

He has been succesfull more or less everywhere he has been, but whether the timing is right is a good question to raise. Rafa has done very well for us, and this is really our first time with a major crisis under him. I think it's fair that he at least gets untill the end of the season to get things back on track, but I don't think he should get next season automatically, for me it still depends on this season.
Fair enough, it's mainly that i don't see Hiddink being any more able to do a better job all things considered, he may have an immediate impact, like Rafa did, but long term, while the club is in the shape it is, i don't see him doing any better in europe or in the Prem, not with Chelsea, City, utd as they are, although utd could make his job easier by suffering from ownership **** like us, but then again it would help Rafa too if he stayed, it would be City and Chelsea with all the cash if utd suffered badly from this long term.
All in all, just keep Rafa for next season whatever happens, if we failed to get 4th this season but won the title in the next two that would do me.
We've fifnshed ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea in the last couple of seasons, it's not been all bad as some would have us think, we'll get back to that with Rafa just as easy as with Hiddink imo.

for a small period of time. in the january period when we played everton in the cup we were dire like now.Originally posted by red g View Postlike a certain Rafa had us playing last season?
but we did have a fantastic spell culminating in the madrid, villa & utd games.
but thats gone and we look a million miles away from it. nothing at all will now convince me rafa should stay. regardless if we win the next 8 on the bounce.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

I didn't mention one week my friend. We had a period of the season where our football was excellent on the eye and we scored for fun, in that period I mentioned the three stand out results. For large parts of last season regardless of finishing 2nd or scoring the most goals we were boring and predictable. How many home draws did we have where we created so very little clear cut chances?Originally posted by PeteBest View PostOne good week? We finished second and highest scorers.
Please do not attempt to tell me we were great last season. I know what I saw with my own eyes. I didn't like a lot of it. Some of it I loved.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Benitez's future at Liverpool hangs in the balance following a diastrous season this term.
The pressure has increased on the Spaniard in the wake of the embarassing FA Cup defeat to Reading on Wednesday and Hiddink has been mentioned as a possible replacement if Liverpool decide to look for a new man to take charge.
Hiddink, who enjoyed a successful four-month spell at Chelsea last year, is expected to leave his job as Russia coach after they failed to qualify for this summer's World Cup finals.
The experienced coach is keen to ply his trade again in the Premier League, but he will first seek the approval of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich before making a switch back to England.
"I have to speak to the federation president before making any decision on my future, but it is true that I would like to coach in England again," said Hiddink.
"After all the support I've received from Roman Abramovich I owe it to them to discuss anything with them first."
He's a ****ing snake the kunt, unnecessarily putting pressure on Carlo Ancelotti with that comment IMO. I perfer managers with a bit of class.

I never liked Hiddink myself. I think he's overrated and is a bit of a mercenary.Originally posted by Baracus View Posthttp://www.teamtalk.com/football/sto...861299,00.html
