    No excuses for that.

He knows that top 4 is a minimum requirement each year. I feel really sorry for him because he hasn't been backed in the transfer market adequately and we've had lots of injuries to key players. His tactics are baffling at times and the players seem confused, the way we play has become boring to watch. I have a lot of admiration for Rafa, but if he fails to get us into the CL for next season then we have to freshen things up.

for me the tactics are the problem, and that has been consistent in the PL throughout Rafa's career. He thinks too negatively. He's had a lot of time and money to put together a team that really goes for it, and he hasn't. I'm ready for one last chance, if we finish fourth, but otherwise we need a change and more positive attitude.

The worst thing for me this year has been the negative attitude throughout. Noone looks like they're trying and the system doesn't work.

So that proves it is a ownership / financial issue rather than a team management issue. Dont you thing Rafa would love a bigger stadium equaling more revenue?

i would rather have a manager that loves the club and the fans, to have a bad season than some ambitious self publicist that just wants a better cv with no affection for the club,
because thats what you will get with hiddink and jose, and beyond them two there is no one on a par with Rafa.

That's not the point i was making.

The point is, even without a new stadium, we've got plenty to be comfortably ahead of Villa, Spurs and even City, yet we're trailing in their wake.

Do you put any blame whatsoever on the manager?

Will you be happy to keep him, if we win nothing this season and
                      finish 5th/6th?

He's "guaranteed" us 4th place, so if it doesn't happen, I fully expect him to do the honorable thing and walk.

However, I think he'll get 4th place and stay. Every time we lose this season, I get pissed off so much and feel I can't take it anymore but then after a few days I calm down a bit and can't bring myself to give up on him.

yes! and go forward with optimism for next season with a manager that will learn from his mistakes,( and he has made some i admit) to try with a PASSION to win us silverware.

Haha exactly the same here. Except I don't think we'll finish 4th.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

You cant be serious? That is the biggest problem imo, He does not learn from his mistakes.

i am being positive mate, and if rafa truly loves this club he will change, if he doesn't and that's the reason we fail next season then i will hold my hands up and say i was wrong, but until then i live in hope.
